All great political events will be remembered as great events that, like rockets, flared and fizzled, unless a baton is deliberately and wilfully passed to succeeding generations. Its never in the hands of current-generation politicians, that ongoing and permeating change occurs for the betterment of humankind; its in the hands of the unborn.
May 2005: Because of the starvation globally and the desperation with 30,000 children dying daily from PREVENTABLE causes, Kids 4 Kids will move forward the manifestation which was scheduled for next year to coincide with the anniversaries of Live Aid and We Are The World. We sent our SOS package to Sir Bob with inclusions of the SOS messages to other artists. Sir Bob’s camp advised that he only sang his own material, as did several other artists who were mentioned in other SOS videos but also advised that an announcement would be forthcoming from Sir Bob within weeks regarding global poverty. We waited and Live8 was announced. Kids 4 Kids’ objective was to have artists sing to raise funds for the disadvantaged and Live 8 offered just that and much more. From there Kids 4 Kids committed totally to the Live8 initiative in web support.
July 2004: A global concert is scheduled next year, linking up people from many countries around the world. Hopefully it will be with help from major international artists but if not, it will again be the web-linked dedicated advocating "Live Aid still lives".
